Data removal & account deletion
Your privacy and the security of your data are paramount to us at Dinolingo. We want to provide you with essential information regarding account removal and data security:
Account Deletion: If you wish to have your data deleted from our system, please fill the form, and we will manually delete your account. You must cancel your account first in order for us to be able to delete it. Deleting an account will take up to 30 days and it can’t be undone.
Account Cancellation: When you cancel your subscription, your account will be deactivated. This means you will no longer have access to log in, view your account details, or use our platform’s services.
Account Retention: While we do not automatically remove your account information from our database, we take all necessary precautions to handle your personal information with care. Should you decide to return within certain time frame, your account can be reactivated.
Credit Card Deletion: We want to clarify that we do not collect or store complete credit card details. We only retain the last 4 digits of your credit card, which are used for account identification when necessary.
Email Deletion: Our email system employs third-party providers (Sendgrid and Mailchimp). Deleting your account does not remove your email from their servers. To manage your email preferences or unsubscribe from marketing emails, please follow these steps:
- Locate and click the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of any marketing email you’ve received from us. You will be directed to a webpage where you can confirm your request to opt out of future marketing emails.
Data Security: Our systems undergo continuous monitoring, auditing, and updates to maintain the highest level of security. We employ industry-standard encryption protocols and adhere to best practices to safeguard your data from unauthorized access.
Please note: If you’ve never entered your credit card information during registration, your account was never activated. The only place your email may exist is in our promotional emails. If you receive a promotional email in the future, we recommend clicking the “unsubscribe” button in the footer.
