All animals need warmth inside their bodies if they want to stay alive. While some animals, like dogs and birds and even people, can keep their insides warm even when it’s cold outside, there are other animals, like lizards and snakes who have to use the sun and air to keep their insides warm!

Some scientists think that dinosaurs were “warm-blooded,” which means they could keep their insides warm just like people can today, but other scientists believe dinosaurs were not so lucky.

It is tough for scientists to answer this question for sure, with the small amount of evidence they have, and it will probably be a long time before we know the answer for sure.
