Have you ever imagined what it would be like to have a hungry T. Rex chasing you? Well, believe it or not, there is actually a chance you would have been able to get away! Some scientists think that the Tyrannosaurus Rex was no faster than a person. Of course…there are other scientists who think this is wacky talk!
While it’s tough to say exactly how fast a dinosaur could run, scientists have some pretty good guesses. If we’re talking about a normal-sized dinosaur with two legs, the usual guess for how fast they ran is somewhere between 20 miles per hour and 50 miles per hour.
This is a pretty big range, but dinosaurs probably fell somewhere in the middle. This means they probably ran fast enough that you wouldn’t want to take your chances!
