Played this for my 5 year old, but the 10 year olds were just as interested in it as the 5 year old. This is a great program and had my kids completely engaged in learning. Half the time I don’t even think they realized they were learning!

My sons had learned a little bit of Spanish from Dora the Explorer on TV but aside from that had never been exposed to other languages. However, within 5 minutes of watching the Dutch session, they were both running around saying different words in Dutch!

I wasn’t very excited about Dino Lingo when I first saw it because I thought it was just for little kids. But, when I tried it, it was great fun and the games are entertaining. The best thing about it is I feel like it was such a good way to learn language that I wouldn’t change a thing about it! The dinosaurs are very cute and I loved the games and activities, fun coloring pages, and read aloud stories. I think that Dino Lingo is a great way to learn whatever language that you think that it would be fun to be able to speak.

Not only were they completely captivated by the characters and the graphics, they were totally wrapped up in learning the language. They were sitting on the floor, talking back to the video, right from the start. And when it was over, they asked to watch it again. And again. By the end of that first night, we were all talking about the Russian we’d learned already.

As someone who has learnt multiple languages, I have also experienced that complete exposure to the language you are learning without actual translation really forces you to learn/speak or understand the language better.
