Xi’an City is the home of the Terracotta Army made up of more than 6,000 life-sized statues of soldiers and horses from the army of the First Emperor of China. These statues were made in around 210 BC and were only discovered in 1974.
The Silk Road, a trade route used during the Roman Empire, also starts in China at the Yellow River Valley.
